Charles L. Webb, Esquire

Charles L. Webb is one of Atlanta’s most revered and prominent attorneys. He was appointed to the Dekalb County Recorder’s Court bench on June 11, 2010 where he served for six years. Charles has practiced law for approximately 22 years. After practicing law for approximately 11 years, he created his own shingle, Attorney Charles L. He formerly served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Major Case Division of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he was responsible for prosecuting all homicides cases assigned to two divisions within the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. He has tried over 75 jury trials and was selected as the 2004 Lawyer of the Year of the Major Case Unit of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to joining the District Attorney’s Office in 1998, Webb was employed as an Assistant Solicitor General, prosecuting misdemeanor offenses, for three years in the Fulton County Solicitor’s Office. In 2003, Charles gained civil litigation experience when he served as a Senior Litigation Associate with the law firm of Drew, Eckl & Farnham, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. In this capacity, he was responsible for motor carrier defense cases, premises liability cases, and other civil litigation.

A native of White Springs, Florida, Webb graduated with the Highest Honors from Hamilton County High School. Webb received his Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude from Edward Waters College in 1991, his Master of Public Administration Degree from the Reubin Askew School of Public Administration at Florida State University in 1995, and his Juris Doctor Degree from The Florida State University College of Law in 1995 through a dual degree program. Webb is currently enrolled as a student in the Master of Divinity Program in the Charles H. Mason Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Webb practices in the Northern District of Georgia, The Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and also is admitted to practice in the Middle District of Georgia. Webb is also licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, and all Florida courts including the Supreme Court of the State of Florida.

Webb is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, the Dekalb Bar Association, the Criminal Law Section of the Georgia Bar, and other civic organizations. Webb is an Ordained Elder and a Ministry Leader at All Nations Life and Praise Church. He also served as the former Assistant Pastor of The HOPE Cathedral Church of God in Christ in Atlanta, Georgia. Webb has one daughter and is currently a single father. He resides in McDonough, Henry County, Georgia.

Charles L. Webb is a native of White Springs, Florida. He is the son of the late Denard Howard Webb and Mary L. Webb and has five siblings.
